Accessibility statement

Last updated: June 13, 2026

Everyone deserves equal access to legal help. LawyersListed is designed and engineered to conform to WCAG 2.2 Level AA, and we treat accessibility defects as functional bugs, not cosmetic ones.

Our standard

We target conformance with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, Level AA, published by the W3C, across the public directory, attorney profiles, Q&A and account areas.

What we've implemented

  • Semantic HTML landmarks, headings and breadcrumb navigation on every page;
  • full keyboard operability — search, filters, forms and menus work without a mouse;
  • visible focus indicators and skip-to-content support;
  • color palettes checked for WCAG AA contrast on both light and dark surfaces;
  • alt text for informative images and accessible names for icon-only controls;
  • forms with programmatically associated labels and clear inline error messages;
  • structured data and consistent page titles for screen-reader orientation;
  • no content that flashes more than three times per second.

Known limitations

Some attorney-uploaded content (for example, profile photos and firm-supplied documents) may lack complete alternative text. We require alt text on new uploads and are backfilling older content.

Feedback & assistance

If you encounter a barrier on LawyersListed, or need any part of the site in an alternative format, we want to know:

We aim to acknowledge accessibility reports within two business days and to resolve verified barriers in the next release cycle.

Continuous review

Accessibility is reviewed as part of our design system and release process, including automated audits and manual keyboard and screen-reader testing (NVDA and VoiceOver). This statement is reviewed whenever significant features ship.
