Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information

Last updated: June 13, 2026

California residents have the right under the CCPA/CPRA to opt out of the “sale” or “sharing” of their personal information. This page explains our practices and how to exercise that right.

Our practice

LawyersListed does not sell personal information for money— we do not pass consumer contact details to lead brokers, call centers or data resellers. Because California law defines “sale” and “sharing” broadly (covering some analytics and advertising disclosures), we provide this opt-out so your choice is honored regardless of how those definitions evolve.

How to opt out

  1. Email — send “CCPA opt-out” to privacy@lawyerslisted.com from the email address you use on the service. No account? Include the email or identifier you want opted out.
  2. Contact form — use the privacy request formand choose “Privacy request”.
  3. Global Privacy Control — if your browser sends a GPC signal, we treat it as a valid opt-out automatically; no further action is needed.

We process verified opt-out requests within 15 business days and do not require account creation to submit one. An authorized agent may act for you with written permission.

What an opt-out does not change

  • Attorney directory profiles built from public bar recordsremain published — public-record professional data is not consumer “personal information sale”. Attorneys can manage their profile via claiming it.
  • Messages you choose to send to an attorney still reach that attorney.
  • Strictly necessary cookies (sign-in, security) continue to work.

Other California rights

Access, deletion and correction rights are described in our Privacy Policy. We never discriminate against users who exercise privacy rights.
