Biography
Adam James Savin, car accidents attorney serving Granada Hills
Adam James Savin is an attorney based in Granada Hills, CA. The practice focuses on Car Accidents, Employment, and Litigation. Adam has over 16 years of legal experience. Currently practicing at Savin Bursk Law. Adam works from Granada Hills, California and takes on car accidents matters across the region.
Adam J. Savin is a litigation and trial attorney at Savin & Bursk and is a co-Founder of the firms Encino office which emphasizes on complex and serious injury cases. Mr. Savin has devoted his practice to helping people and families who have suffered serious and catastrophic life altering injuries, whether these injuries happened at work or by the hands of careless individuals, companies, or corporations.
Mr. Savin’s primary focus is in complex Personal Injury cases with cross-over Workers’ Compensation claims known as 3rd party claims. These are claims where people are injured and have multiple remedies – meaning they can pursue both Workers’ Compensation benefits as well as Personal Injury civil damages against another person or company known as the 3rd party. The advantage Mr. Savin has is the fact that he is a proven litigation and trial attorney in both the world of workers’ compensation and personal injury civil litigation. Mr. Savin has extensive litigation and trial experience in all sorts of automobile accidents, trucking/tractor, motorcycle, boating, construction site accidents, slip and falls, wrongful death, catastrophic injuries including traumatic brain injuries, sexual molestation and misconduct, products liability, dog bite cases, medical mal practice, and other injury related claims.
Mr. Savin is a street fighter that big businesses and insurance companies should fear. His passion is his love of the court room and arguing for those clients who need a voice against the corporate giants. Mr. Savin fights for every inch, tooth and nail to recover the maximum for his clients who have been wronged by negligent individuals and companies. In 2017 Mr. Savin had an incredible year fighting and advocating for his clients where he finished out the year with an incredible Los Angeles verdict for his client who suffered chronic back pain after a slip and fall and obtained a $7,200,000.00 dollar verdict. This result was four times what they were offering his client. Mr. Savin then kicked off 2018 with a trial that started January 2, 2018 on a stairway accident causing multiple surgeries for his client and an insulting $75k offer on the table from the insurance carrier, and just days into the trial and by the end of week one he obtained a $5,000,000.00 settlement for his client. Mr. Savin loves what he does, he loves the fact that he can stand for his clients and not allow a corporate giant to dictate what someone’s pain and suffering is worth.
Mr. Savin is also a part of a small community of attorneys in Los Angeles and surrounding cities who handle Workers’ Compensation claims where the employer is illegally uninsured, typically referred to as UEF or Uninsured Employers Fund Cases. These UEF cases follow special rules and procedures and an inexperienced workers’ compensation attorney can delay your case for years if the proper procedures are not followed at the forefront. In addition, these UEF cases can sometimes open the employer to personal injury civil liability outside of workers’ compensation.
Mr. Savin is a native Californian who grew up in the San Fernando Valley. Adam graduated from Cal State University Northridge in 2006 with a bachelor’s degree in Political Science and from Southwestern University School of Law in the exclusive Scale accelerated program in 2010. During college and prior to law school, Adam had the advantage of working for his parents, who are also attorneys, which allowed him to prepare cases and participate in all aspects of litigation, including trial. During his law school career, Adam J. Savin did an extern-ship at the Los Angeles Workers’ Compensation Appeals Board in down town Los Angeles under the supervision of the Presiding Judge.
In 2016 and 2017 Mr. Savin was awarded the exclusive membership into The National Trial Lawyers: Top 40 Under 40, which is a professional organization composed of the top trial lawyers who are younger than the age of 40. In 2017 he was awarded Top 10 Under 40 by the National Academy of Personal Injury Attorneys. In 2017 and 2018 Mr. Savin was selected to the Super Lawyers Rising Stars list, an achievement limited to only 2.5% of attorneys. Savin is also a lifetime member of numerous prestigious organizations including Million Dollar and Multi-Million Dollar Trial Lawyers Association as well as Million Dollar and Multi-Million Dollar Advocated Forum; organizations that are by invite only and limited to attorneys who have won million and multi-million dollar verdicts and settlements. Less than 1% of U.S. lawyers are members.
If you ask Mr. Savin about his favorite award he will tell you it is the Above The Policy Lawyers award which honors lawyers who have settled or tried a case where the insurance company paid more money than the maximum insurance policy limit. Mr. Savin has obtained Verdicts and Settlement well above policy limits including a 2017 Verdict that was over one Million dollars above the insurance company’s policy limits. Only a very small number of lawyers have accomplished verdicts and settlement above the insurance policy and the award recognizes the negotiation, investigation, and superb litigation skills of the lawyer.
Mr. Savin is proud to have a perfect 10.0 Avvo ‘Superb’ rating and is also a recipient of Avvo’s prestigious Client’s Choice Award. Mr. Savin is also a proud member of organizations such as the California Applicants Association, Consumer Attorneys of Los Angeles, Consumer Attorneys of California, and the American Association for Justice; organizations which advocate and fight for the rights of injured workers and the rights of the everyday consumer.
Adam J. Savin is an energetic, innovative, and charismatic attorney who will exceed his client’s expectations. Mr. Savin has a compassion for his clients and understands the value of meeting with each and every client, taking the time to listen and explain what to expect.
