After graduating from Hanover in 2003, Alex went back to Orlando, FL, where he worked as a social worker for a year. Alex was a law clerk for Bill Hurst during much of law school. He graduated from Indiana University School of Law in Indianapolis in 2007 and began his career as a trial attorney with the Marion County Public Defender Agency. Alex has conducted hundreds of trials and hearings as an attorney.

Alex believes in community involvement and has worked closely with established Indianapolis organizations such as the Neighborhood Christian Legal Clinic, the Julian Center, and the Muslim Legal Clinic.
