Allison brings to the Firm experience from a variety of legal settings – a private company, large and boutique law firms and a well-known non-profit organization. As Senior Counsel at one of the largest private companies on Long Island, Allison advised a broad portfolio of companies in the beauty, retail, e-commerce and logistics sectors. Her work included M&A transactions, general corporate matters, worldwide licensing deals, commercial real estate and intellectual property. She also led trainings on legal topics for marketing teams and other business groups, something she still enjoys doing for clients, students and community organizations.

Prior to working in-house, Allison practiced intellectual property law at the Manhattan law firms Fross Zelnick Lehrman & Zissu, and Edwards Angell Palmer & Dodge, and the Washington, DC firm Saidman DesignLaw Group, where she co-wrote an amicus brief to the U.S. Supreme Court on behalf of the Industrial Designers Society of America.

She earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in History, cum laude, from Dartmouth College and her Juris Doctor degree from Georgetown University Law Center, cum laude. While in law school, Allison was a law clerk at the headquarters of The American Red Cross.

Allison was raised on Long Island (Oceanside) and returned to Long Island with her husband to raise their two children in Setauket. She writes and publishes picture books about lesser-known stories from Long Island history and is the president of an educational non-profit. In her spare time, she enjoys writing, coaching her daughter’s robotics team, playing the piano and watching Bollywood movies with her children and Indian relatives.

Allison is admitted to practice law in the State of New York, and is a member of the New York Bar Association.
