Andrew Lucchetti received his undergraduate degree from the University of Virginia and his J.D. from the University of Richmond, School of Law. Mr. Lucchetti scored in the top 1% of all test-takers nationwide on his law school admissions test and entered law school at the University of Richmond in the prestigious John Marshall Scholars program. The program was designed to give highly qualified students an incomparable legal education. The John Marshall Scholars program also includes a unique programmatic component where scholars have unique opportunities to meet with and be mentored by lawyers and judges in the region. He was recently selected to the Super Lawyers 2017 list of Rising Stars in personal injury. This honor is reserved for the top 2.5% of attorneys in Virginia in the area of personal injury.
While in law school, Mr. Lucchetti worked as a law clerk for Attorney Jonathan Halperin and has continued to work with him since. Prior to working with Mr. Halperin, he was unsure which of area of law he wanted to practice. After seeing the way that Mr. Halperin and the Halperin Law Center helped their clients, he decided he, too, would devote his practice to personal injury cases, representing clients who were seriously hurt by the negligence of others. Mr. Lucchetti brings a blue collar work ethic, significant life experience, and a keen intelligence to his practice at the Halperin Law Center. He is dedicated to his clients and committed to providing them with the most compassionate and qualified representation possible. Working with the Jeanette Lipman Family Law Clinic During his time at the University of Richmond, Mr. Lucchetti also participated in the Jeanette Lipman Family Law Clinic, helping underrepresented clients get the legal representation they deserved. The Clinic is an in-house clinic at the University of Richmond that provides legal assistance to families and children in the City of Richmond. Mr. Lucchetti represented clients under the supervision of an attorney. Areas of representation included family law issues such as abuse and neglect, divorce, custody, child in need of supervision/services (CHINS), public benefits, housing, and domestic violence. The Clinic is a full-year course for second and third-year law students wherein students participate in all aspects of legal representation, including in and out-of-court advocacy, interviewing clients, drafting court documents, and legal research and writing. In addition, Mr. Lucchetti served as the President of the Client Counseling and Negotiation Board, and was a member of the Alternative Dispute Resolution Society.
