Upon graduation from law school, Ayanna served as a judicial law clerk for the Honorable Michael A. Toto, P.J.S.C in the Criminal Division of the Superior Court, Middlesex County, New Jersey. At that time, she also acted as a New Jersey Supreme Court Certified Trained Mediator in Mediation and Conciliation Skills.
Ms. Countee’s passion for justice, and devotion to helping people led her to the New Jersey Office of the Public Defender in 2012. Ayanna served as an Assistant Deputy Public Defender for four years where she tirelessly fought for her client’s charged with serious indictable offenses. Ms. Countee is also experienced in criminal jury trials.
