During his time at SEMO, Bert served his fellow students as a Student Government Senator, as a Vice President on the Inter Fraternity Council, and as Continuing Educator for the Pi Kappa Alpha Fraternity. For his accomplishments, Bert was awarded the Most Outstanding Freshman Award and the Most Outstanding Sophomore Award the very next year. During his time at St. Louis University School of Law, Bert was a co-owner, agent and general counsel of Platinum Sports and Entertainment Management. Bert learned his aggressive style of representation by negotiating contracts on behalf of professional athletes. After graduation, Bert entered private practice and began representing clients in criminal, civil and family law matters. Bert takes seriously the idea of the "practice" of law and devotes time to understanding the constant changes in our laws. He prides himself in counseling his clients and focuses on communication.
