He is a past Chair of the Real Estate Law Section of the Boulder County Bar Association and a past Director of the Boulder Chamber of Commerce, Boulder Tomorrow, the Boulder County Business Hall of Fame and Thistle Community Housing. Bruce received his B.A. in English, summa cum laude, from the University of Northern Colorado, and his J.D. from the University of Colorado School of Law, where he was an editor of the University of Colorado Law Review and selected for membership in the Order of the Coif. Bruce is a Colorado native and life-long Colorado resident. Prior to attending law school, he taught high school English and coached basketball in small towns in Northern Colorado. Bruce now lives in the Hygiene area with his wife of 22 years and their two high school-aged children. Outside of his work, Bruce enjoys cycling, skiing, reading and travel.
