In another significant Fifth Circuit victory, he prevailed on behalf of an oil-and-gas company in a $650 million mutual-interest dispute in the Bakken shale. Mr. Pope has also represented a river authority in multiple appeals tied to flood-damage claims following Hurricane Harvey.
