Mr. Cisneros has more than twenty-two years of experience as a trial attorney and litigator, handling commercial and consumer disputes, appeals, and criminal matters. Throughout his career, he has represented both plaintiffs and defendants in State and Federal Court. In 2002, Mr. Cisneros completed mediation training and became a certified mediator in the State of Texas.
Prior to joining the firm in 2018, Mr. Cisneros was in private practice managing the firms of Cisneros & Mattingly, P.C., and Cisneros, Lucio and Martinez, PLLC. Before going into private practice, Mr. Cisneros was an Assistant District Attorney in the Cameron County District Attorney’s Office, where he first-chaired over thirty jury trials, from dwi’s and assaults to 1st degree murder.
He has handled appeals to the 13th Court of Appeals and the US 5th Circuit Court of Appeals.
He’s also a published author with four novels to his credit, The Case Runner, The Name Partner, The Land Grant and now in pre-production, The Paper Lawyer.
As a contribution to the Spanish speaking community of South Texas, Mr. Cisneros writes a weekly legal column in two Valley newspapers, where he discusses important changes in the law and explains interesting legal concepts.
While in law school, Mr. Cisneros volunteered at the South Texas College of Law Disability Clinic where he represented claimants in front of the Social Security Administration.
