The Journal of Legal Medicine published Chelbie’s commentary titled, From Dark Dens to Suburban Townhouses: Creating a Centralized System for Prescription Opiate Monitoring to Combat the Addiction Epidemic in the United States, in 2018. She worked as a research assistant and co-author on the Health Care Legal Newsletter for the Illinois State Bar Association for about two years as well. She also received a specialization in Health Law and Policy. During her education, Chelbie spent some time in various legal offices and courthouses throughout Southern Illinois.
