For essentially the entirety of Dan’s legal career, he has been handling medical malpractice cases. A good portion of that time was spent defending medical institutions and medical professionals. Daniel J. Pylman impressively graduated Wheaton College summa cum laude in 2006 and Chicago Kent College of Law cum laude in 2009. But Dan’s story is as much heart as it is smarts. During a successful career as a defense lawyer, Dan saw firsthand the uphill battle malpractice victims face as they search for answers and accountability.
Dan joined CHH in 2017 because, he says, he “wanted the opportunity to make a difference in the lives of those who need it the most.”
Now, as a plaintiff’s attorney who specializes in medical malpractice, he has the opportunity to do just that. Each day, Dan says he wakes up knowing that he has the privilege of advocating for others and helping them manage the overwhelming stress that comes with being injured and bringing a lawsuit.
Outside of his law practice, Dan is proud to be a husband and the father of two girls. Dan lives with his family in the Ravenswood neighborhood of Chicago, where he is involved in his local church and enjoys spending time with family, running, biking, cooking, reading good novels, exploring Chicago neighborhoods, and eating good food.
Since 2012, Mr. Pylman has been selected as a Rising Star by Super Lawyers.
