About Daniel Watts — Over 16 years of New York car accidents experience
Daniel Watts is an attorney based in New York, NY. The practice focuses on Car Accidents, General, and Motorcycle. Daniel has over 16 years of legal experience. Currently practicing at Morgan & Morgan.
Dan is a born and bred New York City trial attorney who has represented the interests of accident victims for over a decade. His interest in advocacy started as an undergraduate at Binghamton University, where he was a teaching assistant for the speech and debate team, and continued at the Maurice A. Deane School of Law at Hofstra University. At Hofstra, he was a member of two championship mock trial teams. Additionally, as a law student, he received an “A” in a study abroad class co-taught by the late great United States Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg.
As a professional, Dan has maintained a record of staunch advocacy and tremendous results. Over a dozen of his verdicts have been published in ALM’s VerdictSearch. Unlike many trial lawyers, Dan has also represented defendants in personal injury cases, giving him unique insight into how insurance companies and corporate defendants prepare for trial and negotiate. He now applies those lessons at Morgan & Morgan, where he fights for the people, not the powerful.
Dan is a partner at Morgan & Morgan and manages the MVA (Motor Vehicle Accident) group in New York, leading a team dedicated to securing justice for accident victims.
From 2017-2024, Dan was named a Rising Star by SuperLawyers Magazine for the NYC Metro Area, an honor awarded to only 2.5% of eligible attorneys.
Dan also has the unique distinction of taking one of only twelve verdicts in New York City during the COVID-19 pandemic. No matter the time, no matter the place, no matter the circumstances, Dan is ready to fight for you.
