Becoming a Certified Specialist takes years of dedication to one's chosen specialty and proof of comprehensive knowledge by passing a rigorous examination process. The honor of earning a Certified Family Law Specialist designation is rare, encompassing only 0.8% of all active California attorneys as of 2017.
