With a practice spanning both state and federal court, Mr. Schifrin has extensive experience handling all aspects of the litigation process, including large-scale E-Discovery issues, the research and drafting of motions, and the taking and defending of both fact and expert witness depositions. His practice also includes preparing and defending expert witnesses for testimony at deposition and trial and preparing corporate witnesses for deposition in both personal and representative capacities. Since joining the firm, Mr. Schifrin has conducted plaintiff, treating physician, and expert witness depositions in a multimillion dollar products liability litigation, and he directed and coordinated the review and analysis of key corporate documents, including the development of strategic defenses to likely litigation themes.

Prior to joining the Firm, Mr. Schifrin worked as a Law Clerk for the Honorable Anthony C. Epstein, Superior Court of the District of Columbia. In that capacity, he drafted orders resolving dispositive, discovery-related, and post-trial motions, and he conducted appellate review of magistrate decisions. Following law school, he served as Assistant Attorney General, Civil Litigation Division, for the Office of the Attorney General for the District of Columbia. His litigation responsibilities included direct and cross-examination of witnesses at trial, taking and defending depositions, motions practice, oral argument, discovery, and settlement negotiations.

Mr. Schifrin received his J.D., cum laude, from Georgetown University Law Center. He was Staff Editor of the Journal of National Security Law & Policy. He graduated from Washington University in St. Louis with a B.A. in Economics, where he served as Secretary and later Vice President of his fraternity, Zeta Beta Tau.
