Biography

Eric L. Andrews, business attorney serving Wauwatosa

Eric L. Andrews is an attorney based in Wauwatosa, WISCONSIN. The practice focuses on Business, Litigation, and Personal Injury. Currently practicing at Groth Law Accident Injury Attorneys. Eric works from Wauwatosa, Wisconsin and takes on business matters across the region.

I joined MWH Law Group in January 2019. My practice includes an emphasis on defending Fortune 100/500® companies in premises, product liability, and pharmaceutical liability matters, and municipal entities in civil rights matters. I quickly analyze claims and gather relevant information to determine whether cases should be settled or pushed to trial. Since joining MWH, I have successfully negotiated numerous favorable settlements on behalf of my clients, oftentimes well below settlement authority. Most notably, I negotiated a global settlement of a multi-million-dollar pharmaceutical lawsuit for less than $500,000. One of the traits firm clients most appreciate about me is the emphasis I place on keeping clients updated on the current status of matters as they move through the various stages of litigation.

I practiced at an insurance defense firm prior to joining MWH Law Group LLP. While there, I litigated personal injury, civil rights, property damage, toxic tort, premises liability, product liability, construction, and municipal law matters. During my tenure, I defended general contractors as well as subcontractors in construction defect cases involving swimming pool defect claims, truck repair center defect claims, commercial property defect claims, and residential property defect claims. Additionally, I first-chaired two jury trials to verdict (Outagamie and Waukesha Counties), tried multiple small claims matters before court commissioners and small claims judges, and served as the Assistant Village Attorney for the Village of Shorewood, Wisconsin.

I am a 2012 graduate of Marquette University Law School. While at Marquette, I served as a paralegal and law clerk for a Milwaukee area insurance defense firm and was a member of the Black Law Student Association. I also served on the Wisconsin Association of African American Lawyers (WAAL) Board of Directors from 2012-2017 and was WAAL President for the 2014-2015 calendar year. I have continuously been selected to the Wisconsin Super Lawyers Rising Stars list from 2016 – 2020.

I am a member of the State Bar of Wisconsin. From 2016-2017, I served on the State Bar of Wisconsin Board of Governors. I currently serve on the Board of Directors for the Wisconsin Trust Account Foundation (WisTAF). In 2016, I was inducted into the Fellows of the Wisconsin Law Foundation. In 2019, I was elected to a two-year term as the Treasurer of the State Bar of Wisconsin and I currently serve as Secretary on the Board of Directors for WisTAF.
