He represents clients in a variety of corporate and securities activities, with an emphasis on venture capital transactions and other private placements, mergers and acquisitions, debt transactions, and general corporate matters.

His clients are engaged in multiple industry sectors including software, telecommunications, services, information technology, financial services, biotechnology, medical devices and government contracts. In addition to his company representations, he has represented a number of leading venture capital and private equity firms, such as Grotech Capital, Carlyle Ventures, Updata Partners, Intersouth Partners, New Markets Growth Fund and numerous others in recent financing transactions.

In total, he has negotiated over 200 private placements and venture capital transactions, ranging from angel and seed financings to expansion and mezzanine round financings. Mr. Wechselblatt has represented the issuer in about one half of these transactions and the investors in the other half -- accordingly, he understands the key drivers and issues that both parties face in these transactions.

Mr. Wechselblatt also has extensive experience in leading large deal teams in complex merger and acquisition transactions, including mergers, asset deals, stock deals, leveraged buy-outs, spin-offs, joint ventures and similar transactions. In the recent past he has represented both public and private company buyers and sellers in the following industries: government contracting, software, hardware, biotechnology, publishing, spirit brands, and others.
