Biography
Ilya Prokopets, family law attorney serving Phoenix
Ilya Prokopets is an attorney based in Phoenix, ARIZONA. The practice focuses on Family Law. Ilya works from Phoenix, Arizona and takes on family law matters across the region.
When representing my family law clients, my goal is to achieve the best possible results so that they can move on to the next phase of their lives with a plan for themselves and for their children, and the financial security they need. My experience spans a broad range of family law matters, including divorce, complex property and debt division, business valuations, prenuptial and postnuptial agreements, spousal maintenance, child support, community property issues in estate planning, mediation/arbitration, parenting time and legal decision-making issues, and post-decree disputes.
I always focus on making the family court process less stressful for my clients as it is often a significant life transition. Whenever possible, I prefer to resolve issues without litigation, because it is less expensive and less disruptive. Sometimes, however, aggressive action and litigation is necessary to achieve a client’s goals and objectives. In those cases, I have the skills, the experience, the best team, and the most effective resources at my disposal to accomplish my clients’ goals. When hiring me for a complex matter, you get more than just one professional. We have a network of professionals, including tax, financial, real estate, business valuation, and mental health professionals who work with me and assist my clients as they move through the process.
While I began my legal practice in New York City, where I practiced complex commercial and real estate litigation, I chose family law and Jaburg Wilk to be able to focus more on individual clients. Now, I have the privilege of making a life-changing difference for my clients every time I pick up the phone, step into the office, or walk into a courtroom. I love what I do.
