He received his law degree from the University of Houston in 1989, at which time he joined the law firm Small, Craig & Werkenthin where his practice included general litigation, administrative and bankruptcy work. He has also handled a variety of appellate cases at the courts of appeals and the Texas Supreme Court.
He joined Germer in 2004, focusing on medical malpractice defense and administrative law.
