Biography
Meet Jacqueline Clark — family law lawyer in Bellevue
Jacqueline Clark is an attorney based in Bellevue, WA. The practice focuses on Family Law and General. Jacqueline has over 5 years of legal experience. Currently practicing at Envision Family Law.
Jacqueline is an experienced family law attorney licensed in both Washington State and the Province of Ontario, Canada. With decades of experience in family law across two countries, she brings a unique international perspective and a deeply compassionate approach to helping clients navigate divorce, custody disputes, parenting plans, child support, spousal maintenance, and complex property division matters.
She began practicing law in Ontario in 1996, where she spent more than seven years handling high-net-worth and highly contentious family law cases. Her work included complex asset division involving family businesses, litigation over the enforceability of prenuptial and settlement agreements, and appellate advocacy in significant custody matters, including a Hague Convention child abduction case before the British Columbia Court of Appeals. She was also part of a legal team that advanced a child custody case to the Supreme Court of Canada. In addition, Jacqueline has written and presented on various family law topics, including uncovering hidden assets in divorce proceedings.
After moving to the United States, Jacqueline took time away from legal practice to raise her three children and became closely involved in their schools and community activities, including leading two Girl Scout troops. Following her own divorce in Washington State, she gained firsthand perspective on the emotional and practical challenges clients face during family law disputes. That experience inspired her to return to the legal field—first by becoming a trained life coach, and later by earning her LL.M. for Foreign Attorneys from Seattle University while working full-time as a paralegal in a busy Washington family law firm. She became a member of the Washington State Bar in 2021.
Jacqueline is passionate about helping clients understand both the legal and emotional aspects of divorce. She works to keep the process as amicable and cost-effective as possible while protecting her clients’ long-term interests. Whether assisting in mediation, explaining complex legal issues, or advocating in court, she is known for her thoughtful listening, practical guidance, and creative solutions tailored to each family’s unique needs.
Outside of work, Jacqueline enjoys curling and was honored to represent Washington State at the Mixed Nationals in Denver, Colorado, in 2019.
