He is Chair of the Board of Trustees at Porter-Gaud School, and is an active member of First (Scots) Presbyterian Church.

He and his wife, Courtney, live in Mount Pleasant with their two sons. Jim enjoys playing basketball and football with the boys and being outdoors with his family and their English Springer Spaniel, Bass. Jim’s interests also include birding and amateur wine making.
