In 1993, Jim began working for Fred Boettcher, Oklahoma’s most prominent workers’ compensation attorney. In 2001, Jim started his own law firm practicing workers’ compensation, Social Security Disability, and personal injury. In 2018, Jim, Fred, and Brad Wicker formed the BDIW Law firm. Along with Derek Ingle, BDIW has become a statewide law firm representing injured workers all over Oklahoma. Jim continues to represent injured workers in the Oklahoma Workers’ Compensation Court and Commission. He has tried or settled over 40,000 cases and has recovered hundred of millions of dollars in benefits for his clients. He is dedicated to taking care of injured workers and their families. He also practices in the area of Social Security Disability.
Jim grew up in Cashion, Oklahoma. He was an All-State football player for Cashion playing center and linebacker. His team went undefeated and won State his senior year. He then attended the University of Oklahoma for undergrad and law school, graduating with honors. He has been married to his wife, Suzanne, for thirty-one (31) years. Jim and Suzanne have three (3) children, Laura, James, and Jason. He enjoys playing golf, scuba diving, karate, and watching movies and football. He is on the Board of Directors of the Poncan Theater and is a Deacon at First Baptist Church of Ponca City.
