In that role, he obtained favorable outcomes for clients, including voluntary discontinuances, dismissals on summary judgment, and negotiated settlements, while playing a key role on trial teams that secured defense verdicts.
Earlier in his career, James served as a Court Attorney with the Supreme Court of the State of New York, Appellate Division, Second Judicial Department, where he drafted hundreds of judicial opinions for one of the busiest appellate courts in the country, providing him with a strong foundation in appellate analysis and issue preservation.
James is a first-generation Colombian American and is fluent in Spanish. He serves on the Board of the Latino Lawyers Association of Queens County. He has also served as a volunteer arbitrator for the Civil Court of the City of New York.
