He attended West Virginia University College of Business and Economics from 2005 – 2009, where he was a West Virginia Promise Scholarship recipient. While enrolled at WVU he was accepted into a study abroad program in Paderno Del Grappa, Italy, that was hosted by the University of Kansas. During his study abroad trip he studied international economics and business law. He graduated Summa Cum Laude from West Virginia University College of Business and Economics with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration majoring in Finance.
Jared applied and was accepted into West Virginia University College of Law in 2009. He graduated from West Virginia University College of Law in 2012 where he was in the top 33% of his class. Upon completion of law school he returned home to Beckley, WV, where he accepted a full time job with Pullin, Fowler, Flanagan, Brown & Poe, PLLC.
Jared is married to Lindsey Goodman also of Beckley, West Virginia. They are the parents of two wonderful boys, Brody and Blake. Jared enjoys being fit, spending time with family and friends, and traveling.
