Joel has been a partner with the firm for more than 45 years. He served on the firm's management and compensation committees from 1986 through 2017 and chaired the real estate practice group.

Joel's practice focuses primarily on real estate and banking matters. His clients include a wide range of real estate investors and developers, numerous banks and other financial institutions, hotel owners and developers, a large fast-food franchise, and many non-real estate businesses with real estate needs. Structuring of corporations, joint ventures, partnerships, and limited liability companies in connection with real estate transactions.
