Before earning his law degree, he attended Missouri Baptist University where he obtained his Bachelor of Applied Science degree. The cases that he worked on ranged from civil contract claims to Multi District Litigation involving the opioid crisis. In 2021, Joel became a Public Defender. In this role he fought hard for those clients who could not afford their own attorneys in the State of Missouri. He then transitioned to a law firm in St. Louis that litigates civil cases and gained experience and spent a great amount of time in the courtroom advocating for all of his clients’ needs.

When Joel is not busy assisting his clients, he enjoys spending his free time with his wife at local wineries and also watching sports and his favorite shows on TV. He also enjoys playing league volleyball every week.
