My Grandfather, Joseph B. Lee, was an accountant and my mentor. I learned a great deal about the IRS from him at an early age. Both my father and my sister were also attorneys in Tacoma, Washington.
I studied Federal Tax Law at Seattle University School of Law in 1985. Upon graduation in 1988, I started my practice at Sterbick, Abel, & Sterbick.
Through my tax practice, I learned that many tax debts can be discharged through Chapter 7 bankruptcy or paid through Chapter 13. I began practicing bankruptcy law in 2009. My firm has discharged literally millions of dollars of IRS debt for my clients.
I am admitted to practice before the United States Tax Court, the United States District Court, and the Washington State Superior Court.
