John B. Shook, car accidents attorney serving Las Vegas

John B. Shook is a member based in Las Vegas, NV. The practice focuses on Car Accidents, Dog Bites, and General. John has over 32 years of legal experience. Currently practicing at Shook & Stone. Rated 5.0 out of 5 from 182 client reviews. John works from Las Vegas, Nevada and takes on car accidents matters across the region.

For more than 20 years, John B. Shook has gone to battle for injured children and adults. As a co-founder of Shook & Stone, he serves as lead trial counsel on many of the firm’s largest cases. John represents individuals and families of those who have been hurt or killed as a result of defectively designed and manufactured products, as well as victims of medical malpractice, dangerous premises, motor vehicle negligence, industrial accidents, and insurance bad faith. He’s responsible for trying one of the largest single-claimant personal injury verdicts in Nevada history.

John is always striving to learn, grow and sharpen his skills outside of the office. He is currently an arbitrator for the Eighth Judicial District court-annexed arbitration program. In 2016, he became one of the first attorneys in Nevada to be certified as a Personal Injury Specialist by the Nevada Justice Association (NJA). This prestigious honor only goes to personal injuries who demonstrate superior integrity, knowledge and professionalism. You can read more about his certification here.

After serving as a member of the Nevada Medical-Legal Screening Panel—which reviews all medical malpractice claims filed in the state of Nevada for merit—John is able to better understand both the legal and medical sides of personal injury cases. Clients trust him to address them with compassion, and their cases with determination.

Where It All Began

John was born in Dalhart, Texas and raised in Hobart, Oklahoma. It was at Hobart High School where he won his first case. John was selected by his classmates as lead attorney to represent a classmate in a personal injury trial. He convinced a jury of teachers and students to grant an award of more than $350,000.
