During law school, Mr. Williamson received many accollades. He was elected a Member of the Paul M. Hebert Law Center-Louisiana State University Hall of Fame. He additionally was awarded the school's highest academic honor, graduating Order of the Coif. Finally, Mr. Williamson was also a Candidate of the Louisiana Law Review.

Mr. Williamson is a regular speaker to his peers at Continuing Legal Education programs. He primarily focuses on personal injury claims and insurance issues. His published works include: Prosecuting The Uninsured Underinsured Motorist Claim, 10S3003 N. B. I. 117 (2001), Trying The Soft Tissue Injury Case In Louisiana, 08U6704 N.B.I (2003) and Arbitrary & Capricious Claims Pursuant to Louisiana Uninsured Motorist Law, 225-497-4938 Auto Torts (March 2004 & December 2008).

Mr. Williamson has served the community in many volunteer activities. He is a former President of Forum 35. He is the former treasurer of the West Feliciana Parish Chamber of Commerce. He is a founder of Baton Rouge Uncorked which raises funds for numerous Baton Rouge area charities. He also is Chairman of the Baton Rouge Bar Association Athletic Committee and has formerly served as chairman of the Mock Trial Committee. Mr. Williamson additionally coaches his children's baseball and soccer teams.
