About Lee Atkinson — Attorney of Georgia personal injury experience

Attorney Lee S. Atkinson is a dedicated Athens personal injury lawyer and member of the Blasingame, Burch, Garrard & Ashley, P.C. team. After growing up in Athens, Lee attended the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, earning his bachelor’s degree in 1999, before going on to obtain his law degree from the University of Georgia School of Law in 2005.

After law school, Lee began his law career at one of the largest insurance defense firms in Atlanta. There, he successfully represented large corporations, doctors, hospitals, property owners, and trucking companies before ultimately realizing his calling for defending plaintiffs. After switching sides in 2012, Lee used his experience and insight into how insurance companies assess claims from injury victims to his clients’ advantage. His knowledge of defense attorneys’ tactics before and during trial offers him a unique ability to effectively assist his own clients.

Lee’s legal practice encompasses a wide variety of catastrophic injury cases, including those that involve medical malpractice or negligence, defective products, car and trucking accidents, and dangerous property conditions. One of Lee’s most proud accomplishments to date has been successfully assisting veterans who were harmed by inadequate care and delayed treatment at Veterans’ Administration hospitals throughout the southeastern United States.
