Marvin "Mark" Kloeppel received his undergraduate and law degree from the University of Virginia. Mark also earned his LL.M. in Taxation from New York University. While in law school, Mark served as an editor of the Virginia Tax Review and a graduate editor of the New York University Journal of International Law and Politics. Mark first joined Fisher, Tousey, Leas & Ball in 2003, where he worked in the partnership and corporate tax areas. Mark has been board certified as a specialist in Tax Law by The Florida Bar since 2006; Mark is also admitted to the Virginia and Georgia Bars. In 2008, Mark left Jacksonville to join the tax department of a Fortune 300 publicly traded company, which operates in 33 states.
In 2012, Mark returned to Jacksonville and rejoined the firm, where he continues to practice in the tax and transactional business (mergers, acquisitions, and business sales) areas, with an emphasis on healthcare transactions. In addition to tax and transactional business, Mark has substantial experience with tax-exempt organizations, tax credit transactions, captive insurance companies, and resolving tax disputes with federal and state tax authorities.
