Michael J. Weil joined Snyder Sarno D'Aniello Maceri & da Costa LLC in September 2018. Since entering private practice, Michael has focused exclusively on all aspects of family law including divorce, spousal and child support, child custody, post-judgment enforcement matters, and domestic violence. Michael has experience successfully litigating cases to trial and handling family law appeals.
Michael graduated from the University of Connecticut School of Law in 2013 with high honors. He was elected to the Connecticut Law Review, where he served as an editor. Michael was honored with the Alvin Pudlin Memorial First Amendment Award, the Connecticut Conference of Municipalities Prize, the Joseph F. Noonan Memorial Prize, and the CALI Award for Excellence in Criminal Procedure. In law school, Michael volunteered with the Homeless Experience Legal Project and the Center for Children's Advocacy. Michael earned his bachelor’s degree, magna cum laude, in Political Science from The George Washington University in 2008.
After graduating top of his class from law school, Michael served as a judicial law clerk to the Connecticut Appellate Court from 2013 to 2014. Following his appellate clerkship, he joined a prestigious matrimonial firm in Greenwich, Connecticut. In 2015, he returned to his home state of New Jersey to serve as the judicial law clerk to the Honorable Anthony F. Picheca, Jr. in the Superior Court of New Jersey, Somerset County, Family Part from 2015 to 2016. Michael then practiced with a respected family law firm in Flemington, New Jersey.
Michael served as Membership Chairperson of the Hunterdon County Bar Association and provided pro bono representation through SAFE in Hunterdon to victims of domestic violence. He is active in the New Jersey Bar Association, Young Lawyer’s Division and the Hunterdon, Somerset, and Morris County Bar Associations. Michael is a trained family law mediator and was recently selected to serve on the NJSBA Young Lawyers Subcommittee.
