International University. After deciding to attend law school Ms. Vera continued to work at Hofmann &
Schweitzer as a law clerk at several points during her law school career.
Upon graduation from St. Thomas University School of Law, and passing the Florida Bar, Ms. Vera
became an Assistant Public Defender in Miami-Dade where she defended accused indigents. During her
time as an Assistant Public Defender, Ms. Vera engaged in trials, hearings, depositions and office
administration.
Ms. Vera thoroughly enjoys litigating for and assisting those in need. After performing public service as
an Assistant Public Defender, she returned to her roots at Hofmann & Schweitzer to work with founding
partners Paul T. Hofmann and Timothy F. Schweitzer in providing legal services for those injured in
Maritime, Construction and general plaintiff’s personal injury cases.
