Peter C. Amuso, Zoning Attorney in Trevose, Pennsylvania

Peter Amuso's legal journey was inspired by his grandfather, whose legacy deeply influenced his career choices. Pursuing higher education with an Army ROTC Scholarship, Peter graduated magna cum laude from Georgetown University in 1994. He then attended Harvard Law School, earning his degree with honors in 1997, before serving overseas as an active duty Army officer in the Judge Advocate General's Corps.

During his time in the JAG Corps, Peter notably worked on a defense team that successfully secured the acquittal of an Army soldier accused of homicide in Kosovo. This case was widely recognized with the headline "NOT GUILTY" in Stars and Stripes. In 2002, after completing his four-year service, Peter returned to Pennsylvania and joined a prominent Philadelphia law firm. There, he engaged in litigation within state trial courts, federal district courts, and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit. He also oversaw zoning and land-use litigation on behalf of a significant developer across eastern Pennsylvania and nationally.

Peter is committed to guiding clients through complex legal landscapes, particularly focusing on litigation in land use and zoning. He is deeply involved in school labor law, handling cases ranging from local arbitrations to matters before the Pennsylvania Labor Relations Board. Achievements include winning a landmark case before the Pennsylvania Secretary of Education, impacting school transportation standards for charter school students. Peter is a respected speaker for the Pennsylvania School Boards Association and participates in Lehigh University's Special Education Law Conference each year.

Peter has extensive involvement in zoning matters, representing a diverse range of clients including developers, nonprofit organizations, and educational institutions in southeastern Pennsylvania. His strategic approach in the courtroom aims to deliver favorable results. Additionally, his commitment to community engagement is evident, having served on the School District of Springfield Township's board and running as the 2007 Democratic nominee for District Attorney in Montgomery County.

A Life Member of VFW Post 7919 and a part of the Arthur Savage American Legion Post 100, Peter contributes to his community in various roles. He is a family man, actively involved with his parish community, coaching the CYO track team, and serving as Cubmaster. His pro bono work includes serving as counsel for Friends of Historic Bethlehem Pike. Currently, he holds teaching responsibilities in Constitutional Law at Chestnut Hill College and is the Chair of the Board for Keystone Hospice and Keystone Health.
