Working full time for Project Hospitality, Inc. from 1988 to 1995, while attending classes at night, Pete received his Bachelor’s Degree (B.A.) in English from the City University of New York (CUNY) College of Staten Island in 1992. Eight years later, continuing to work while attending classes at night, Pete received his Juris Doctor degree (J.D.) from New York Law School in 2000. He has been in private practice since 2012.

Every 3 years since 2011, Pete has been elected/re-elected and has sat as a Director on the Richmond County Bar Association's Board of Directors (RCBA) where he has chaired the Technology Committee since 2011. In May 2016, Pete was elected to the Board of the Staten Island Women's Bar Association (SIWBA), where he served as Director for one year - he continues to be an active member - and he was previously an active member of the Staten Island Trial Lawyers Association (SITLA), the RCBA Volunteer Lawyers Project, the New York State Bar Association (NYSBA), and currently an active member of the Staten Island Board of Realtors® (SIBOR), the National Association of Realtors®, (NAR). He is an active volunteer Arbitrator at the Richmond County Civil Court, Small Claims Part, where he can be found deciding cases Friday mornings or Thursday nights, once or twice per month (pre-COVID-19). In September 2019, Pete became a NYS Certified Real Estate Instructor.

Aside from trying to spend as much time as possible with his wife, Darlene, and their four children, Pete, a vegetarian, enjoys riding his motorcycle and running; he has run every NYC Marathon since the year 2000 (21 total), usually finishing in around five hours.
