Lawrence Kamin partner Robert L. Schlossberg specializes in business law, including mergers and acquisitions, borrower and lender financing, real estate transactions, employment agreements, distribution agreements, shareholder agreements and contracts of all varieties. In fact, Bob was selected by his peers as a top Illinois lawyer in three categories-Corporate Finance, Mergers and Acquisitions, and Securities and Venture Finance-in the Leading Lawyers Network Magazine, recent Business Editions.

Before joining Lawrence Kamin in 2003, Bob spent most of his legal career at Altheimer & Gray, where he was once chairman of its corporate department. After graduating law school, Bob clerked for a federal district court judge. While attending Northwestern University Law School, Bob taught accounting part-time at

DePaul University.

Bob leverages both his law and CPA background to handle transactions ranging from less than $1 million up to $3.6 billion. The latter transaction involved his representation of the purchasers of Montgomery Ward from Mobile Oil Corporation.

In addition to his participation on the board of the Council for the Jewish Elderly, the Jewish Federation and Jewish United Fund of Metropolitan Chicago, Bob serves as a member of the board of directors and as a trustee for many of his clients. They trust Bob for the same reason that other attorneys respect him - because in complex transactions, he foresees and protects the client from issues that other attorneys may miss.

When he is not practicing law, Bob enjoys traveling abroad with his wife and playing with his grandchildren at home.
