Bob Cannella is a native Nebraskan who has practiced law at the firm since graduating from law school in 1972. Bob’s principal legal activities are in the areas of higher education law and the counseling and representation of employers in employment, labor relations, employment discrimination, and preventive employment law matters. Bob fills the lead role in the firm’s representation of Metropolitan Community College, and in that role he works closely with the administration and Board of Governors of the College. He regularly defends and represents both public and private sector employers in employment and employment discrimination law matters, and advises employers in the areas of labor relations, employment discrimination, wage and hour matters, and the myriad other aspects of federal, state and local regulation of the employment relationship.
Bob attended undergraduate and law school at Creighton University and received his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration (Management) degree in 1970 and his law degree in 1972. He has been a member of the governing body of the Nebraska State Bar Association (House of Delegates) since 2002, and he serves as Chair of the Rules and By-Laws Committee and as a member of the Legislation Committee of the Association. He is a member of the Labor Relations, Employment Law, Workers' Compensation, and Government Practice sections of the Association.
