Robin Daitch is a Partner in our Augusta, Georgia, office where she focuses her practice on health care compliance, medical malpractice, and other complex litigation.
Robin is a seasoned trial attorney, having tried numerous jury trials in federal, superior, and state courts in Georgia and the circuit court for Maryland. Most recently, Robin practiced at an insurance defense firm where she dedicated her practice to defending medical malpractice and insurance cases. Having a passion for health care, she also worked as in-house counsel for a hospital system in Augusta, Georgia. There, she worked to ensure regulatory compliance of the hospital’s policies and procedures including investigating potential HIPAA and EMTALA violations, served on the hospital’s Compliance Committee, and trained new employees on the hospital’s Corporate Compliance Program.
Prior to that Robin served as an Assistant Attorney General for the State of Georgia where she investigated and prosecuted complex multi-million dollar federal and state cases involving health care fraud and abuse. Of note, she prosecuted United States v. Otis Shannon, et al. which was highlighted by the Attorney General of the United States in her press conference announcing a national healthcare fraud take-down.
Robin began her legal career serving as a prosecutor for the State’s Attorney’s Office for Baltimore City and the Fulton County District Attorney’s Office. Due to her rapidly developing trial skills, she was promoted into a felony jury trial division after only fourteen months of practicing law. As a law clerk, she was selected by the State’s Attorney for Baltimore City as the sole law clerk for the Special Prosecutor for Baltimore City, the Chief of Circuit Court Operations, and the Division Chief of the Research and Training Division. In that position, she assisted the Special Prosecutor with preparing high profile cases for prosecution and collaborated in the development of the “District Court Training Manual” and “Boot Camp Orientation Training” for new attorneys.
