A seasoned trial attorney with big firm experience, Sean McCaffity primarily represents plaintiffs in complex commercial litigation as well as matters involving business fraud, audit malpractice, fiduciary litigation, director and officer liability, fraudulent transfer and whistleblower litigation.

Mr. McCaffity has previously represented Chapter 7 bankruptcy trustees, liquidating trustees post-confirmation and receivers attempting to collect and liquidate assets for the benefit of creditors. He has been involved in numerous high-stakes cases, including multiple lawsuits arising out of the In re: Daisytek International Corp. (a billion dollar public company) and In re: Provident Royalties, LLC (a $500 million oil and gas Ponzi scheme) bankruptcies.

Over the years, Mr. McCaffity has received numerous accolades for his work. He has been recognized as a Texas Super Lawyer each year since 2018 and among the Best Lawyers in America since 2020. Additionally, he has been recognized as the National Collegiate Debate Champion and Top Speaker at the National Debate Tournament.

After earning his law degree from Baylor University School of Law with high honors, Mr. McCaffity immediately went to work for a large Dallas law firm, quickly realizing plaintiff’s work was what he enjoyed the most. Soon after, he was offered a position at a litigation boutique specializing in complex commercial litigation on the plaintiff’s side of the docket. He quickly accepted and has been doing the same type of work ever since.
