Prior to joining Goldman & Pease as Senior Counsel, Mr. Gorovitz was the founding member and senior partner at his firm: Gorovitz & Borten, P.C. For almost 20 years, he dedicated his practice to representing victims of medical malpractice, catastrophic personal injury, and the Church Sexual Abuse Crisis. He is well-versed in risk/cost management involving the analysis of value and merits of case litigation. Mr. Gorovitz is a seasoned practitioner having participated in over 100 jury trials, has conducted over 1200 depositions, and has participated in over a hundred mediations and arbitrations. On behalf of its clients, his firm Gorovitz & Borten, P.C. recovered over $100 million dollars in damages. Mr. Gorovitz has been named in the peer nominated New England Super Lawyers list for 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019, and 2020, 2021 and 2022
Mr. Gorovitz also spent 11 years on the Framingham Planning Board, and was its chairman from 1995-1998. During his term on the Planning Board, the Board permitted and oversaw a rapid expansion of commercial development in Framingham having a build out value in excess of $500 Million Dollars. Mr. Gorovitz is an alumnus of Boston University, where he obtained both his B.S. in Business Administration as well as his Juris Doctor in the 6-year business-law program.
Mr. Gorovitz currently resides in Framingham and is the father of five children. In his free time, he enjoyed coaching soccer, basketball, and baseball and watching his children play hockey and soccer both at the high school, prep and collegiate levels. Despite not having any school age children, Mr. Gorovitz remains an avid supporter (and attendee) of Framingham High School’s varsity hockey program.
