Stephen B. "Steve" Brauerman is an attorney based in Wilmington, DELAWARE. The practice focuses on Business, IP, and Litigation.

Stephen B. Brauerman (Steve) is a director at Bayard and member of the firm’s litigation group. He concentrates his practice in the areas of corporate, commercial and intellectual property litigation in Delaware’s state and federal Courts.

He has litigated a wide array of cases involving fiduciary duty claims, corporate and alternative entity control disputes, advancement/ indemnification, breach of contract, antitrust, securities, patent infringement, copyright infringement, and trademark matters. Steve also counsels clients concerning the General Corporation Law of the State of Delaware and Delaware’s alternative entity statutes.

Experienced as both lead and Delaware counsel, Steve appears frequently before the United States District Court for the District of Delaware, the Delaware Supreme Court, the Delaware Court of Chancery and the Delaware Superior Court. Steve has also tried cases as lead counsel before the United States District Courts for the District of New Jersey and the Eastern District of Pennsylvania.

Steve is a 2010 graduate of the Federal Trial Practice Seminar sponsored by the United States District Court for the District of Delaware and the Federal Bar Association. From 2011-2014, he served as co-coordinator of the Trial Practice Seminar. Steve currently serves the legal community as vice-chair of the Limited Liability Companies, Partnerships, and Alternative Entities Subcommittee of the Business Law Section of the American Bar Association; and Barrister in the Richard S. Rodney American Inn of Court. Steve is the past President, and has also previously served as Vice President, and Secretary of the Delaware Chapter of the Federal Bar Association.

While in law school, Steve worked for the Honorable Gerald Bruce Lee of the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia. He was also Editor-in-Chief of the American University Law Review (Volume 55).

Steve also served as a Director of the Reading Assist Institute (a non-profit organization that helps children overcome language-based learning disabilities) and as a volunteer puppy raiser for Guiding Eyes for the Blind.
