Stephen Hale’s practice includes commercial and tort litigation. He has represented clients in industries such as telecommunications, heavy and light manufacturing, automotive wholesale and retail, software development, construction, and commercial and residential development.
He is admitted to practice before the Utah Supreme Court and all state and federal courts in Utah, and the United States Tenth Circuit Court of Appeals. Mr. Hale received his Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting, magna cum laude, in 1982, and his Masters in Business Administration in 1983.
Mr. Hale received a license to practice as a certified public accountant in the State of Utah. While practicing as a C.P.A., he was employed for several years with Ernst & Whinney, an international accounting firm, where he was engaged in providing auditing and management consulting services.
Mr. Hale has been awarded an AV rating – the highest awarded by Martindale-Hubbell. He has also been named one of the top general commercial litigation lawyers in Utah in the 2010-2014 editions of Chambers USA – America’s Leading Business Lawyers, and was recognized in the 2007-2015 editions of Best Lawyers in America for commercial litigation and construction law. Mr. Hale was listed in the 2009-2014 editions of Mountain States Super Lawyers, and in 2013 was named one of Utah’s “Top 100” lawyers in the Intermountain area.
