Steven was ranked as a Lexpert in the Canadian Legal Lexpert Directory for 2023 and 2024 in the Practice area of Long Term Disability. Steven was a witness in the Senate Social Affairs Committee (SOCI) on the study of the Canada Disability Benefit. He is a recipient of the John A. McLeish Award for 2023 for his work identifying the impact of the Canada Disability Benefit on Long-Term Disability Insurance and on his efforts to help create the OTLA Long-Term Disability section over a decade ago, providing a space for LTD litigators of all levels to learn from one another and advance access to justice.
In his spare time, he enjoys swimming, walking his dog, travelling, reading, and spending time with his wife and kids.
