Taylor Budnick is a Senior Trial Attorney based in our Irvine office. Taylor was born in Michigan and raised in Irvine. She went to the University of Colorado Boulder for undergrad, and thereafter, Michigan State University College of Law. Taylor spent eight years practicing Family Law in Los Angeles before returning home to Irvine to join Reel Fathers Rights. Taylor is a Certified Family Law Specialist* and is licensed to practice law in both California and Colorado. She has practiced Family Law exclusively, representing clients in dissolution and parentage matters throughout Southern California, in Los Angeles, Orange, Ventura, and Riverside Counties. Her extensive litigation experience includes advocating for fathers in domestic violence cases as well as child custody and financial matters, including child support, spousal support, and property characterization and division issues.

Taylor also has experience representing clients in private mediation, and working with experts including forensic accountants to conduct business valuations and cash flow analyses and child custody evaluators to perform 730 custody evaluations. She has worked at a nonprofit on domestic violence cases and in the self-help center of the Inglewood courthouse to prepare domestic violence restraining order requests. Taylor has done countless domestic violence cases while working for family law firms, spending the past almost 8 years (7 years and 8 mos) at two century city based family law firms. Ms. Budnick brings new insight to family law matters and has the ability to help individuals who are facing sensitive issues such as domestic violence, and advocates for those who don’t have a voice.

Taylor Budnick has exclusively practiced family law since graduating Cum Laude from Michigan State University College of Law in 2015. She brings a wealth of knowledge on family law issues, divorce, child and family advocacy experience to Reel Fathers Rights. Ms. Budnick’s passion for family law issues developed in law school, where she served in Michigan State University’s Chance at Childhood Law & Social Work Clinic and completed an interdisciplinary academic program between the colleges of law and social work in order to graduate with a certificate in Child and Family Advocacy. While serving in the clinic, Ms. Budnick provided legal assistance to families involved in the court system on matters relating to family and child welfare law, specifically advocating for children involved in child custody evaluations, child protection cases, and guardianship proceedings.
