Wayne Hammack is a Partner in the firm’s Irvine office with extensive litigation experience in the defense of complex, high-exposure insurance defense and insurance coverage matters. AEG Live and The Michael Jackson Company LLCWayne represented Certain Underwriters at Lloyd’s in a high-profile rescission action under a contingency cancellation policy issued for Michael Jackson’s “This Is It” concerts in London. Following Jackson’s death, the matter was litigated in Los Angeles Superior Court based upon alleged material misrepresentations and non-disclosures regarding Jackson’s prior drug use and health history. After more than a year of intense litigation, AEG Live dropped its $17.5 million insurance claim in exchange for a waiver of costs. The litigation continued and was ultimately resolved with the Estate of Michael Jackson.
