Tim has always enjoyed hunting and fishing, and played all sports while growing up in Louisiana. Now he spends any spare time playing golf and tennis, and following all sports, his favorite being college football.

Tim moved to North Carolina in 1992 after practicing law in Louisiana for three years, where he immediately started litigating and trying cases as a young lawyer following a one-year judicial clerkship. He has lived in the Lake Norman area since 2002, and is active in the Lake Norman community. He has attended St. Gabriel Catholic Church and Saint Mark Catholic Church since 1992.

After working for larger firms for 8 years, in 1997 Tim co-founded his own firm, Moreau and Marks, PLLC (later Moreau, Marks, and Gavigan), in Charlotte, NC. His goal was, and still is, to provide personalized, responsive, and cost-effective legal advice/representation to a select number of clients.
