Ann Marie Willinger, a partner, has the good fortune of working with her husband and partner, Charles (Chuck) Willinger, on all things land use and appellate-related. Ann Marie focuses on research and analysis of caselaw and regulatory law about all aspects of zoning, inclusive of special permits, variances, inland wetlands, historical, environmental, and coastal permits, and other approvals from permitting to appeal. Additionally, having spent a significant amount of her career in litigation and insurance matters, she assists her fellow WWB attorneys in the prosecution of tort and negligence litigation and analysis of insurance policies and issues arising from the declination of coverage of insurance to our clients. Ann Marie is known for thinking outside the box to get the best results for her clients.
Ann Marie was born in Bridgeport, Connecticut. She attended Wellesley College, receiving Freshman Honors. Following her heart, she transferred to Fairfield University, where she graduated Magna cum laude. She received a scholarship to St. John’s University School of Law, where she achieved a position on its law review. Ann Marie received her law degree from the University of Bridgeport School of Law, Summa cum laude, with two young children in tow.
Ann Marie is known to work well under pressure and for being a perfectionist in all things written. Ann Marie is a member of the Connecticut and Bridgeport Bar Associations and is admitted to practice before the state and federal courts in Connecticut and before the United States Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit.
