Tony is an Associate Principal with Foley, Baron, Metzger & Juip. He devotes the majority of his practice to civil litigation. The primary focus of Tony’s practice is defending health care professionals, corporations, and hospital systems in complex medical malpractice and birth trauma litigation. He also has extensive experience in defending county jail and state prison health care professionals in civil rights litigation brought in Federal Court pursuant to 42 U.S.C. § 1983.
In addition to defending health care professionals, Tony’s practice also includes defending auto negligence claims under Michigan’s No-Fault Insurance Act and other personal injury claims. Through his litigation experience, Tony has also developed expertise in various aspects of health care law and significant experience in appellate work in both State and Federal Courts.
During law school, Tony was a Judicial Extern for the Honorable David W. McKeague in the United States Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit. He was also the Assistant Editor, as well as the Editorial Board/Business Manager, for the Ave Maria Law Review. He graduated cum laude while earning both his law school and undergraduate degrees, and was the recipient of the St. Thomas More Full-Tuition Scholarship (law school) and the President’s Academic Scholarship (college).
