Brett Steinberg is Founder and President of Steinberg Law, PA. For the past 10 years, he has litigated personal injury cases primarily involving car, motorcycle, and truck accidents, slip and falls, product liability, maritime, and negligent security in venues throughout Florida. Brett possesses tremendous civil litigation experience, both defending and prosecuting personal injury claims. In 2008, he helped litigate an asbestos exposure trial in which the client was diagnosed with mesothelioma, a deadly type of cancer. That trial resulted in a $24,170,000 verdict for the Plaintiff. Since then, Brett has been zealously representing the injured in personal injury matters, obtaining favorable results for his clients for many years.
Brett began his legal career as an Assistant Public Defender at the Miami-Dade Public Defender’s Office, where he provided legal representation to the accused. His cases ranged from juvenile offenses and misdemeanors to serious felony crimes. While working at the Public Defender’s Office, Brett handled hundreds of criminal matters and tried over 25 cases to verdict. Most notably, Brett successfully argued a motion to suppress physical evidence – several pounds of marijuana – a decision that was upheld by the United States Supreme Court!
A South Florida native, Brett obtained his undergraduate degree at the University of Florida and received his Juris Doctor from University of Miami School of Law, graduating Cum Laude. Admitted to practice in all Florida State Courts as well as the United States District Courts for the Southern District of Florida, Brett is an active member of the Florida Bar, the Palm Beach County Justice Association, and the Florida Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers.
When not fighting for a client’s rights, Brett’s favorite activity is spending time with his family, especially playing around with his two sons, Blake and Dylan. Brett loves to travel and some of his hobbies include photography and music. His passion is attending live music festivals and concerts; music, like his children, brings him joy.
